VINTAGE 1970S GRANNY SQUARE CROCHET AFGHAN THROW: GREEN, COLORFUL BLOCKS
This is a gorgeous, vintage, 1970's, hand-made, crocheted afghan/throw. It is made with granny squares in a "petal block" pattern. The base of the afghan is made with a green cotton blend thread and the inside (colorful) sections of the pattern are made with a cotton blend or wool thread.
It's unclear if the maker planned for this shrinkage or not but it certainly gives the afghan a very interesting look and adds depth to an otherwise simple block pattern.
The afghan/throw measures 77 inches wide and 62 inches long and is the perfect size to tuck over your lap and legs while reading a good book and sipping a cup of tea.
