For your consideration is this lovely Chop Plate / Serving Platter produced by Hearthside of Japan. Newspaper advertisements date this piece to 1984. The platter is part of Hearthside's Water Color Stoneware line. The pattern name is Dawn and consists of brown bands, and blue, white and coral flowers. The bottom is marked and reads "Hand Decorated Stoneware / Water Colors / Hearthside / Dawn / Safe in your oven, freezer, microwave and dishwasher / Japan". It measures 12.25 inches in diameter x 0.8 inches high and weighs 1 pound 14.7 ounces. Condition: Seller observed under studio lighting some crazing when cleaning solvents were used; but does not see under standard lighting. No chips, cracks or major abrasion observed. Item has been steam cleaned.
