What would a piece of furniture plucked from Atlantis look like? That’s what I asked myself as I worked on this gorgeous buffet. Immediately thoughts of Crystal blue water, Grecian keys & waves crashing on the shore we’re stuck in my mind. Our finish started with a base of Treasure gold in gold followed by Caviar. Next came Layers of dixiebelle Palmetto & Kudzu followed by layers of drippy In the Gulf. We then tinted wax with mint julep to add some contrast. Highlights are DB gilding wax in copper and in some areas copper mixed with gold. We used Sawmill gravy, Caviar, Chocolate & Fluff to create the marble top followed by a Greek key border. The sides were accented using Glass beads.
