This is a hardback 1st Edition Ex-Library copy of a classic Joel Chandler Harris collection of Uncle Remus tales. These "new stories of the Old Plantation" appeared a generation after Harris first introduced Uncle Remus, Brer Rabbit, and the other animal characters to the world. The book was rebound in library binding at some point. The covers are clean, and the binding is tight. It has some residue on the front endpaper where a library card holder was removed, and a couple of pages have a library stamp. Otherwise, the pages are clean and unmarked.
